PITNY Day 1: The Count Down Zoya Style!

Are you ready for the new year? I'm excited and yet nervous for what this new year is going to pertain, but I just can't wait for it to happen this year has been a whirl wind. So I'm taking part of another awesome nail art challenge to work on my nail art skills. And also showing you the Zoya Ornate Collection.

So first up the Zoya Ornate Collection, a must have collection for this year and an amazing collection to bring in the new year with!

First up is Logan, a gorgouse duochrome/jewel toned green/gold that made my jaw drop when I put it on. I only needed 2 coats.
Next up is Blaze, a red beauty with holographic glitters. This polish has to be one of my favorites in this collection. I used 2 coats for the picture but you can easily get away with only 1 the formula is amazing!
Next up is another amazing holographic glitter, Storm a black polish with holographic glitter. This is a pretty black glitter to use for a galaxy nail it's simply stunning.
Now we have Ziv, is a gold foil which is said to be the gold version of Trixie. It's a beautiful gold foil with hints of silver and deeper gold specks.
Next, we have Aurora, which is a charming purple with holographic glitters.
Last, but not least we have Electra, which is a holographic bar glitter in a clear base. I'm not one for bar glitters so this was kinda okay for me until I put it over Storm and I was like static cling, it has an old school futuristic vibe to it.
All in all this collection to me is a hit! It's perfect to bring in the new year with too! You can order this beautiful in a sample pack or seperately on their site. Also to stay in the know and to find out about amazing deal the fairies give follow them on twitter and like their facebook!

Now on to the nail art!!

So today is all about the Count Down!! *Cough Cough* and sparkles. So I just had to use Zoya's Storm, I mean c'mon do you know of any other black polish with the most amazing holographic glitter that doesn't take away from the color but adds to it's glitz and glamor? I also used Milani's Gold and used the glitters for designs and here's what I ended up with....

I love this polish! It's stellar! So I did a simple 2013 on my ring finer and on the middle finger I tried to make a sand clock to reperesnt the bringing in the new year and on the pinky and pointer fingers I did balls dropping and hanging. I have to really work on working with loose glitters, it might be easier to use if it weren't in a base( have to put that on my list of things to try this new year).

Make sure to check out these amazing girls nail art to see how they are counting down the new year!!

The only problem I have with these sweater is I live in Florida so I only probably get a hand full of times to wear them, luckily today I get to wear them on my nails. So here are my Sweater nails I used all Milani products.

I really enjoy this pattern makes me want a sweater.

12 Days of Christmas - Winter Wonderland

I'm so excited I have a new key board!!! My son literally tore up my last one, pulled out my 5,s,x,z,", and s key so I couldn't use those but luckily(I guess you could say) I have a touch screen computer so I used the touch screen key board but that gets old quick and my biggest pet peeve is when I see finger prints on the screen. But I'm so excited because I can write this post with a breeze and I don't have to worry about changing up words because I'm too lazy to pull up the screen key board. So on with the post...

Today is all about a winter wonderland.... oh how I wish I could visit a winter wonderland instead of living in a humid, wet, hot place 365 days a year. So these are just a pretty quick nail art design I whipped up between packing(yay we're moving into town!). So here is my winter wonderland...

The North Pole!!! From the actual pole to and elf taking a break from wrapping presents to my attempt at the big man.

Make sure to check out all the amazing winter wonderlands these ladies have come up with today!!

Rhinestone Tuesday: Diamonds in the Sky

Hi dolls, I'm so excited to take part in rhinestone Tuesdays. This brilliant idea came from Maria of Cult Nails and Doria from Makeup Chic, Literary Geek or also mastermind of Beauty Pop Shop(also the mastermind behind the Advent Christmas Giveaway!). Any excuse to use rhinestones I'm down, I love sparkles.

So what sparkles the best? Diamonds, and I have Rihanna's Diamonds on replay everywhere "shine bright like a diamond." So this mani was inspired by Rihanna's Diamonds and amazing persona.

I used Milani's Black Swift, MASH star rhinestones and bundle monster circle rhinestones and Northern Lights top coat. I love this mani, I want to wear it all week long but I know if I wear it to work the rhinestones are going to come off somewhere, somehow and I'll just get mad and pick the rest off.

I also had another accent nail design to begin with but I didn't know how I felt about it, so here this one is.

For this accent nail I used Milani's 3D holographic 509 HD which I am surprised how much I like these holographic polishes and not because I got them on sale at Walgreens for $1.25 but because they actually rock just as much as some holographic polishes I pay $20 for.

So which mani do you like the best? Also you should join in and flaunt your rhinestones!

12 Days of Christmas Nail Art Challenge Day 4: Christmas Lights

The lights, the lights!! Mommy look! Is what I have been hearing since after Thanksgiving and I love it. I love how people around my house are really going all out and bring new meaning to sharing the Christmas spirit. So today's nails are all about the lights, in my case a messy string of lights.

The middle finger is what my lights look like, knots. I used China Glaze's Running in Circles and a black nail art paint plus some circle bundle monster rhinestones. I really enjoyed doing these nails more than actually putting up the lights, plus I saved big bucks on electricity.

So have you put the lights up yet?
Make sure to check out the other beautiful lights these ladies have come up with!

12 Days of Christmas: Day 2: Snowflakes

Hi Dolls, so today is all about the snowflakes and I for one was so exited because I live in Florida so I don't get alot of snow or alot of wintery cold things so I took full advantage of this challenge and went all out. So here's what I used....

Alot of stuff right for snowflakes huh? I used Feenix's Blue Christmas, Cuccio's On the Nite Blue, 2 Black and White nail art brushes, Milani's Black Swift, Zoys'a Purity, Essie's Mini Braziliant, a metallic red nail art brush and Vapour top coat, along with Mash's Nail dotting tools and rhinestones. With all those tool here's my end result...

Yes I added a penguin because my middle finger broke last night at work so I tried to use reverse physiology on me and it's working so instead of seeing a broken middle finger nail I see a cute little girl penguin.

Not the most flawless penguin I know, but I'm working on my rusty skills and I promise next year's penguin will be even more cute.

I really enjoyed doing these nails and I hope you enjoyed them too. This challenge is making me feel all festive and make sure to check out all the snowflakes all these other amazing ladies have created!

12 Days of Christmas Nail Art Challenge

Have you dolls ever gone through a phase where you just seem to not be able to finish anything? I'm trying so hard to break one, I can never seem to finish picture challenges or nail art challenges so here's to breaking the cycle and starting my New Year's Resolution early. I will finish this challenge and will love every minute of it because it has to do with my favorite time of year. 12 Day's of Christmas Nail Art Challenge.

So for day 1 Red and Green Only.... So I used A England's Saint George and China Glaze's Cranberry Splash along with one of my new favorite top coats form Vapour for a elves stockings/sock type of look.

I wanted to use tape but for some "strange" reason I couldn't find it. I think I have elves in my house or else a little boy who loves hiding my stuff. In the end I really like these colors together, makes me so much more ready for Christmas. How about you? Make sure to check out the Red and Green Only designs for these awesome ladies!

Cirque du Soleil: Worlds Away Swatches(picture heavy)

Okay dolls today in the US it's Black Friday, the day people would work in retail... on the floor retail dread. So it's safe to say I'm staying in doors till it's safe to go out, which is probably not until after the holidays. Anyways for all my shoppers out there, there is a must have collection you just have to get this season. China Glazes Cirque du Soleil: Worlds Away Limited Collection. Now if you ever seen a Cirque Soleil Show you will know that it's absolutely amazing, what they do with their bodies and the colors everywhere it's a must see.  So today I have 6 beauties from the Cirque du Soleil: Worlds Away inspired collection from China Glaze to show you.

So kicking off Def Degying, a lime green creme that is the honestly the most perfect shade of lime green I have ever seen. I don't know if it's because the formula is head on or what but it's perfect I only used 2 coats.

After that we have Escaping Reality, which is a neon deep pink. It dries somewhat matte but something about that attracted me to the color, so for the pictures I left it matte.

Now we have the one of the ones that I believed drew the most attention. It's a Trap-eze, a rainbow muti-sized glitter in a whitish base. I think it drew so much attention because a glitter in a colored base isn't something big brands have really done before it's mostly been an indie thing. What I love about this polish is it was simple to use, I only used 2 coats and to smooth it over I used a thick top coat!

Now we come to Surreal Appeal and I have to say this color is hard to pin down. It's a coralish, pinkish color that like true to it's name it has a surreal appeal. I've seen some swatches where it looked neon and other where it looks pink so when I saw it in person I was like huh? It's one of the beautiful colors that you just have to see in person. I used 2 coats.

Now we've come to another one that's cause quite a stir. Whirled Away was said to be a Connect the Dots dupe, but it's not even close. Me personally I like this one better or maybe it's just the theme of the collection that makes it fit in place. I used one coat on top of Surreal Appeal and one coat of top coat to smooth out the glitters.

Now I am so exited to show you this one, it was so unexpected. I didn't think I could possibly love a polish as much as I love Running in Circles, it's a green slightly sheer base with green and lime green shimmer that has a du-chrome feel to it. I used 2 coats and I loved it so much I just had to spam you with 6 pictures!

Wow is all I can say about this collection, I am going to have to get the 6 others in the collection as soon as I can. What do you think about Cirque du Soleil: Worlds Away Collection and the colors? If you want to find out more about their collections and to stay in the know "like" their facebook and follow them on twitter. Till later dolls.
