Maybelline SuperStay 10HR Stain Gloss Review Part 1

Purchased by me.

Today I want to show you some lip stains that I picked up a while ago at CVS when they were on sale. I love CVS when it comes to drug store cosmetics because they always have great sales here and there so when I saw Maybelline's SuperStay 10HR Stain Gloss for 75% off I went a little crazy and bought them all. So today I'm going to show you 5 of the 10 I picked up.

I won't lie when I picked these up I wasn't sure how they'd turn out, it you'd be able to see any color, if they'd dry out my lips or if they'd even last the 10 hours they claimed. So first thing first did they stain?....

The answer....

Surprisingly yes! These all popped out, which I'm use to some "stains" that just give a little color where it looks like I was chewing my lips all day, but they game me the stain I was looking for... like I just ate a cherry Popsicle.

So lets start with the colors left from right shall we...

First up is Berry Heavenly...
I liked this berry stain, it's something I could wear without feeling like "HEY LOOK AT ME!!!" it pops but it's still subtle.

Now we have Refreshing Red...
Which is very similar to Berry Heavenly but a tad bit darker in color, it's more of a red-er than pink color.

Next we have Fresh Fuchsia..
No lie about this name its very Fuchsia.

Now we are changing the colors up a bit with Blissful Brown.

I'm surprised how much I liked this brown because looking at it on the stick I wasn't so sure, but these stains work off your natural lip color rather then cover it completely up like a lip-stick would.

Last but not least we have a purple.... Luxurious Lilac.

Now unlike the others this has a bit of a shimmer to it and again like the brown I was surprised that I actually liked this color because I never thought I'd like purple because I always thought it would draw too much attention to myself.

So lets talk about the formula...they're a creamy feeling lip stain, it wasn't sticky like a normal long wearing gloss and they didn't dry out my lips. Coverage wise they are a stain gloss so the color is working off your natural color of your lips, so it may look so so on me but amazing on you or you friend! My only problem is it didn't last up to the 10 hour claim, the color lasted longer than the gloss but still not 10 hours, but than again I did do alot of drinking, eating and yapping. I of course didn't have a big problem with that because I am use to reapplying after a while to maintain my look. Also for the price I paid it was a still so overall I highly recommend these especially if you can get them on sale like I did.

They normally retail for $8.99

And you can pretty much find them anywhere that sell Maybelline, CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, Target and etc. I also believe you can buy them off their site.

So what do you think about these lip stains? Have you tried them before? Let me know what you think.
