Get Valentine's Day Ready Lush Style with The Beauty Council Edition

Press Samples

With love in the air and Valentine's Day right around the corner today The Beauty Council has some Lush Cosmetics items to help you get Valentine's Day ready. Whether your planning a night out on the town with your guy or your girls or you plan on staying in like this mommy of 2, it's always a good idea to pamper yourself and Lush makes it easy.

Today I'm sharing with you 2 items from Lush's Valentine's day collection; Unicorn Horn and Floating Flower.

First up is Unicorn Horn.

"Sweet dreams are made of these

Sink into a magical bath filled with beautiful essential oils, colorful candy stars, sparkling glitter, rainbows and dreams. Gorgeous pastel colors and a shimmering luster create enchanting pink waters with silvery trails sparkling through it - just like the dazzling pools in magical forests that unicorns can be found bathing in. Lavender, ylang ylang and neroli create a unique and uplifting fragrance as you surround yourself with mounds of bubbles that will leave you feeling perfectly serene."

Unicorn Horn is a gorgeous looking bubble bar that didn't disappoint. I loved the way it looks it almost broke my heart to have to use it(almost). If you haven't heard of bubble bars before they are simply put bubble bath in a bar form. All you have to do is take it and crumble it up under your running water and depending how much water pressure you have is how much bubbles you end up with.
My bathroom doesn't have the best water pressure and I had an amazing amount of bubbles. This bubble bar smells divine, the smell wasn't an intense as some of Lush's items but the lavender and ylang ylang was still sweetly strong. I loved how it gave my water a light purple tint and there was shimmer! This bubble bar took me away to a far away place.

Next we have Floating Flower.

"Flowers on the water

Relax, it’s nearly Valentine’s Day and this flower is sure to please! Gently place this multi-layered Bath Bomb in the water and watch as it floats and slowly fizzes away, releasing a sensual jasmine fragrance. Its vivid, colorful layers create a bouquet of pink, orange and green froth on the water, so get in and soak up all its goodness, and leave the tub feeling relaxed and smelling irresistible."

This bath bomb was seriously made for me. I can't tell you how much I love the smell of jasmine and for me this is the bath bomb I plan on stocking up on. My skin felt amazing in and after this bath and it was so relaxing. If you like the smell of jasmine this is a bath bomb you have to try. And if you haven't tried a bath bomb it's simple you just toss it in you bath and watch it do all the work. I like to add mine after I put in a it of bubble bar that way I have some bubbles.
After this bath you'll have the best smelling bathroom on the block or at least you'll be relaxed enough not to care.

Unicorn Horn bubble bar retails for $7.95 and Floating Flower Retails for $6.95. These both can be purchased at Lush stores or online.  These are limited edition so get them before you miss you.

Now that we are relaxed and semi pampered getting ready for the days events will be a piece of cake. So no matter what your places are or what you're going this Valentine's Day take some time to pamper yourself and unwind, because for this mother of 2 those 20 minutes are a lot better in my mind than my weight in chocolate.

This Valentine's Day I plan to bake cookies with my sons and watch cartoon's with my husband all the while checking last minute details for my younger son's 1st birthday.

Kbshimmer's Men are from Mar-sala Photos & Review

With Pantone's color of the year Marsala taking over for Radiant Orchid for 2015 it's no surprise that brands are releasing their own versions of the beautiful Marsala color. Today I have Kbshimmer's take on Marsala with Men are from Mar-sala.
Kbshimmer took this year's color and ran with it, making it for me one of the stand out Marsala colors of they year.
Men are from Mar-sala is a gorgeous earthy red-brown with the perfect linear holo finish. The color alone for me is beautiful, Marsala has always been a beautiful color to me but with the linear holo finish it blew me out of the water.
The formula for this was like all of Kbshimmer's holo polish formula's, perfect. I applied 2 coats.
So all in all I believe this is a must have polish for the year 2015. Kbshimmer hit it out of the park for me with this one. What are your thoughts on Men are from Mar-sala? And also what are your thoughts on this year's color of the Marsala? Let me know. Stay tuned to for some of Kbshimmer's spring collection hitting the blog in the next couple of days!

If you love this color as much as I did you can purchase it at Kbshimmer.

It retails for $8.75.

Banana Stamping Nail Art

 *affiliate link include
Hello darlings, I have a quick fun post for you today since I've been busy trying to update and fix the look and feel of the blog. So what do you think? Let me know if you like it.

So anyways if you've been following my Instagram you've have noticed I've been bit by the stamping bug. I am totally in love with stamping anything I can get my hands on now that I've tried Mentality's Opaque polishes. Best stamping polishes I've tried in a long time.

So last week I posted a random photo of a nail design inspired by my son. He told me I was crazy and I was driving him bananas because I kept eating his bananas, mind you he just turned 4, he's been hanging around my husband too much. So here is the mani he inspired me to do.
