A is for Angles

I have joined a A-Z nail art challenge that runs for 26 weeks, where we post on Thursdays with a A-Z theme and today's theme is Angles for A. As we all know I am horrible at challenges, I think I only finished one and it was 3 days long... *sigh* so my goal is to see this through and to work on my nail art.

So for today's challenge I give you my Angles.

For this challenge I used the Halloween Sinfulcolors that I reviewed, if you wanna check the review check it out here, I used Happy Endings as my base coat, Splatter Spell for the glitters, and Sally Hanse's Night Fright Fast Dri and Straight Vinyls for the lines. All my lines are at an angle, I won't lie after the ring finger and middle finger I wanted to scream because the single vinyls didn't want to lay straight, I think next time I'm going to get the ones that are as big as the finger nail that you lay down.

The first one I was thinking this is easy...

In the end the vinyls were easy to use then trying to make straight lines myself.

I figured I'd do something funky-ish with my thumb.

At the end of the day I really liked how they turned out and I really like the vinyls. My mom picked them up from a girl at a flee market, I hope she expanse her designs because not having to wait for it in the mail would be heaven.

SinfulColors Tricked Out Top Coats Review

With Halloween literally right around the corner, I want to share with you the SinfulColors Tricked Out Top Coats.

First up is Pumpkin Spice.

Pumpkin Spice is described as a twinkling fall orange, this is full of orange and gold glitters in a clear base.

Next we have Cauldron Couture.

Cauldron Couture is described as a wickedly glittery emerald, this topper is full of different size black glitters and green(emerald) shard glitters in a clear base. I paired this topper with Cloud 9 which is also a Halloween favorite which is described as a pumpkin perfect orange.

Now we have Splatter Spell.

Splatter Spell is described as a glided black flecks. This topper is full of different size black glitters and shards of gold in a clear base. I paired this with Happy Ending.

The last topper I have is Mystery Moonshine.

Mystery Moonshine is described as a multi-colored confetti. This is full of orange, purple and green glitter shards. I paired this with another Halloween favorite Courtney Orange which is described as a opalescent tangerine.

I would have a Glow In The Dark polish to share with you if I didn't meet it's demise in the hands of a little Scooby-Doo who thought it was the coolest thing because the bottle glowed in the dark. Funny story he told me he didn't know what happened to it... until I put him to bed and turn off the lights and what do you know... his floor and some of his wall is glowing.

These polishes are $1.99 each and are exclusively at Walgreens & Target stores in October 2014.I tried to find a replacement for Glow In the Dark but I still haven't seen them in my little town.

3 Kbshimmer Fall Polishes Review

Hello darlings, today I have some fall polishes from Kbshimmer to share with you! Now a little back story, Proud Peacock was the first Kbshimmer polish I bought, that polish will always have a place in my heart. If you want to see where I started and how far I believe I've grown check out this post here, we have to start somewhere. Anyways now onto the 3 fall Kbshimmers!!

First up we have Hugs and Wishes.

Hugs and Wishes is a lavender creme, this 2 coater seems to be an odd ball in the fall theme but at the same time it fits and it's a beautiful color and it fits, it's like who put the raisins in the stuffing ( hey now, don't knock it till you've tried my aunts stuffing!).

Speaking of raisnes we have A Raisin To Live.

 A Raisin To Live is a deep burgundy ox blood jelly with holographic sparkle. This is a 2-3 coater that's sparkly but at the same time vampy, a polish after my heart.

 Last but not least we have Up & Cunning.

Up & Cunning is a stunning show stopping deep teal almost forest green holographic polish. This is a 2-3 coater that makes me remember why I love holographic polishes so much.

 And of course you can't have a holographic polish without so sun shots.

This has a punch of holographic sparkles that look amazing in the sun.

GlaMER Lips Organic Lip Scrub and Lip Balm Review

Hello dolls, this season seems to be about 90's colors and matte lips and nothing can ruin a perfect lip more than chapped lips. So today I want to share with you my hands down favorite lip products I've had the pleasure of trying, GlaMER Lips Organic Lip Care and Lip Balm.

 GlaMer Lips was created by Mercedes Porredon aka Makeup by Mer, a makeup artist who came up with a products that doesn't just make her clients look good, but is also good for them, and boy is it good. So let's get into what's in the burlap bag.

Inside we have a card explaining more about the lip scrub; ingredients, features, the difference between Natural and Organic and a little background on Mer. We also have Organic lip scrub in Champagne, GlaMER lips in Cocoa Mint and a wooden spatula.

 Since this lip scrub comes in a pot, it comes with a little spatula so you can choose if you want to us the spatula or your finger and it also comes in handy when it comes to stirring the scrub because let's be honest stirring our lip scrubs with our fingers isn't very neat if you have normal sized fingers. So here's how it works...

First we have my not so smooth and matte lipstick ready lips.

 
Next like most scrubs you just have to rub on your lips for a minute in a gentle rubbing motion.

Lastly, either lick(yes it's edible and oh so yummy) or wipe off your lips and add some GlaMER lips (or your favorite lip balm).

My final thoughts are where has this been my whole life? I've been using Elf's lip scrub but this had my lips feeling smooth and lipstick ready for days. Not only did it make my lips look and feel great it's edible! So that is a big win for me because if it boast about smelling yummy it should taste yummy and not just be a big tease.These products are pretty for those cool weather lips and this is also some great to add in a little gift basket, who doesn't love smooth lips?

The Beauty Council Halloween Look Link up

 I'm a makeup novice so I've been putting this off trying to think what am I going to do. So in the end after watching an episode of Face Off I decided to do a broken doll minus the clown( If you watch Face Off you know what episode I'm taking about, freaky huh?). So here is my look...

I had fun doing this and my children though I went crazy. This is a very simple and easy look, just remember to keep your eyes wide open to add that doll look.

My Mummy Fell in Glitter Nail Art: The Beauty Council Roundup

Hello Darlings, today I come to you with the lovely ladies of The Beauty Council, to bring you some Halloween inspired nail art. So for today I wanted to do a watermarble mummy because I have a thing for mummies. Okay not real mummies but just dressing up my son's in cute little mummy costumes and listen to my youngest crawl around after me  going "mum mum mum mum" laughing as I pretend to run from a mummy, all the while my 3 year old is looking at me going "mom it's Leo playing pretend, he's not even scary, he doesn't have a lot of teeth like me but don't worry I wont bit you because I don't think I like to eat people." Gotta love a 3 year old's logic.

Any ways so here is my lovely mummies.

For the watermarble I used Zoya's Nyssa as my base, Zoya's Chantal and Emilia for the marble, FingerPaints Patent Black and Patent Red for the eyes, along with Wet n Wild's Lac- My Mani? for the eyeballs. I also used a Color Club gold glitter, hence the reason I call this my mummies fell in glitter because if you can see I had a bit of a problem with air bubbles and I liked the way it turned out and didn't want to go through the hassle to doing it over again and not getting the same out come. So my mummies fell in glitter and to top it off I used Milani's Quick dry top coat.

 Can you see the bubble holes? That's why I used a color similar but lighter than the darkest color  I was marbling because it makes it less noticeable if you get popped bubbles, sorta like camouflaging the holes.

SoFlaJo's Hell Fire Review

Hello Dolls, I am enjoying the cool weather, yes I said cool weather! I know I'm just as surprised as you. I've been waking up freezing(of freezing enough for me). I wake up like where am I? I thought this was Florida, I love it! Anyways with fall, brings cool weather and Halloween! And with Halloween brings awesome makeup and awesome nail polish collections. I'm happy today to be showing you a gorgeous Soflajo polish from the Howl-a-ween 2014 Collection.

Today I bring you Hell Fire

 Hell Fire is a beautiful red polish with red/orange flakies mixed in. I can total see where the name came from, it's a hot color and not only is it perfect for Halloween but it also fits in with the festive holiday vibe.

Hell Fire is apart of a 3 polish collection with Boo You and Haint Night. Each polish is $10.00 and they are limited edition with only 50 of each so once they are gone they are gone. So check out SoFlajo's Howl-A-Ween collection polishes and check out the other colors.

 And to get into the howl-ween spirit I did some nail art.

For this I used Opi's My Vampire is Buff, SoFlaJo's Hell Fire(of course), Venique's Patent Black, and hair spray. I actually like how this turned out, wasn't so sure I'd be able to do the hair spray look because I have this huge can of Big Sexy Hair but I like how it makes it look spooky. What do you think?

My September Ipsy Glam Bag Review

Hello Dolls and Happy Friday!!! Today I'm gonna share with you something I should have shard earlier this month. Yes I'm talking about my September Ipsy Glam bag! I really enjoyed last month's bag, there was probably only one thing I was disappointed with and we'll get to that soon. So here is my glam bag.

This months goodies came in a cute studded pleather bag. I have to say so far this is my favorite little bag, I can honestly see myself re-using this bag.The theme for this bag was Street Style so I see where the glam bag can be clumped into street style. So let's get right into the bag shall we?

First up is Mitchelle and Peach Luxury Hand Cream.

Okay me personally, I love my hand creams but this smelt like tea and pencil shavings and after 5 minutes it didn't feel like I put anything on my hands. Plus this stuff is pricely, for a 60 mL bottle it's almost $30! I know it's English and it says luxury but for me this was a flop.

Next we have Nourish Organic Facial Moisturizing Face Cleanser.

I don't like the smell but I love how my face has been feeling after. It leaves it feelings clean without making my face feel dry and tights and my face doesn't have an oil over load like when using drying products. I have acne prone skin so I try to not use things that irritate or inflame my skin and this has been doing a great job of just cleansing my face so I do plan on buying a full size and adding it into the mix. This retails for $13.99 on their site.

Now we have Crown Brush's Infinity Shadow/Crease Duet Brush.

This is a fabulous brush, it's soft and it's dense where it needs to be, it's not flicking product all over the place. I love double headed brushes for travel because it means I don't have to pack as many brushes. This brush retails for $6.99 on Crown Brushes site.

Next we have Pacifica's Natural Water-Proof Eye Liner in Gun Metal.

Now this is a lovely metallic grey eye-liner that I am very happy with. This is a perfect for the under-eye for that pop of metal. It went on smoothly so no dragging. This retails for $11.00 and there are 4 colors to choose from on Pacifica's site

Last but not least we have Cailyn Cosmetics Art Touch Tinted Lip Gloss in Love Affair.

For me this lip gloss is a winner, I would have bought the bag with this in it alone. This lip gloss is very pigmented and at the same time not sticky. It applies with a flat doe foot applicator.

Look how pigmented that is!! I am in love with it. These tinted lip glosses retail for $19.00 a pop on Cailyn Cosmetics.

So for me this bag rates a 4/5. I would have been better off with anything but the hand cream, but you win some and you lose some. At the end of the day I'm happy with the products I received and that I was introduced to my new love, Cailyn Cosmetics, so for $10.00 this bag was so worth it.
